About

I'm Dan Bork — software founder, sometime tinkerer, and the person behind these posts.

This site is where I write about things I'm figuring out: AI systems, tools I'm building, and whatever else feels worth putting into sentences. The focus right now is AI assistants — specifically what it actually looks like to run one for real life rather than demos.

I've been building a self-hosted AI assistant called Servo (a sarcastic horse with an old soul, if you're wondering) that handles my inbox, manages my calendar, and keeps my Obsidian vault organized. Most of what I write here is a running account of how that's going.
